“A Mason County native, I’m passionate about the vision, mission and values of the Lakeshore Food Club which supports my hometown community. My educational background includes health education, and I’ve since maintained a personal curiosity in the intersection between wholesome food and wellness with an added interest in food systems and access. I find motivation in Steven Pinker’s quote, “We will never have a perfect world, but it’s not romantic or naïve to work toward a better one,” and I am happy spending my days not merely improving food access but improving nutritious food access to Mason County residents. Outside the food club, you can catch me running, a passion I share with my husband, lounging in a hammock, or hiking the Ludington State Park trails.”

"I’ve been farming organic vegetables for almost 10 years, most recently as the owner of Little Red Organics in Free Soil. I feel very passionate about real, quality food - and access for all. I believe a healthy mind and body is the basis for creating a positive, meaningful life. That’s why I’m excited to join the team at LFC and help build a strong foundation of community support and volunteerism for this important work in Mason County. Other than food and farming my interests include reading and yoga, skiing and paddling, and other quiet diversions."
